We will send you batteries that are almost fully charged, your UPS will finish off the charge which helps it reset to the battery cell itself. with this in mind it will mean that there is a period of time that the system is unable to offer full runtime protection while it is doing this, we know it will not always be convenient as everything is a rush now days but if you can its best to run the system without any load to start.
In this kind of device you would expect the batteries to last somewhere between two to five years, this will however will vary greatly depending on the conditions or storage and overall use, ensure there is always good ventilations around the device, do not allow it to be used as a filing cabinet. if the batteries overheat it shortens the life span, keeping the load low will extend the life span, in a ideal world below 40%, they are so often run to the edge of their capabilities, while they may be able to do it its reducing the life span.
