This is a valve-regulated lead acid-type battery. It is also an AGM, which means it can be mounted on its side with fear of spillage. As with all rechargeable batteries, you should keep them charged and charge when you receive the parcel from us and before first use. If you can try not to allow the battery pack to be discharged below 50% too often, it is far better to charge it after every use and not deliberately try to run it down. It will last much longer this way.
