When you receive your order from us the batteries will be almost fully charged but even so you will still need to complete a charge before first use, you can skip this step if it's being fitted in something with its own always connected mains supply like an alarm or UPS system as it will complete this job for you, it shouldn't take long, just until the charger lights indicates its ready, if really in doubt overnight will be more than enough but it's doubtful you would need to leave it on the charger that long, you may well be impatient and use the equipment without charging but it's worth waiting until its fully charged as it will help to extend overall life expectancy
