This pack of two batteries valve regulated sealed lead acid. This is combined with absorbed glass mat technology. They will not spill even if mounted on the side and not-hazardous, so they are safe for the public and even air transport, but you should check with the airline when you book your ticket.

Now you have invested in a new set of batteries. It is essential to look after them properly. You should charge entirely upon receipt and before first use. This will not be a long exercise as they will be delivered to you almost fully charged. You should note that it will take several charges and uses in your mobility scooter before the MK M22NF-SLD replacement batteries show a full capacity charge. This is quite normal.
In general use, we would suggest recharging after every use. It is far better to do that than to allow them to sit in a semi-discharged state. It would be best if you can not use will to enable them to discharge below 20% of total capacity before it gets recharged. If you can manage that, they will last considerably longer overall.
This product is recyclable. When it has eventually furnished you with a whole and active life, please ensure it gets directed to a recycling centre where they can extract the valuable lead content within to be used to manufacture another invaluable product.
