If you are using this battery in a more portable type device like a piece of medical monitoring equipment that requires outside intervention to maintain the charging of the battery then the best advice we can give is to charge fully before first use, charge as soon as you can after each use and if not being used then charge every 8-weeks to slow down the self-discharge effect that will occur over this period.
