Huanyu HYS12450 12v sealed lead battery replacement.
Replacement Huanyu HYS12450 battery pack often used in portable music, busking and PA speakers supplied directly from the warehouse.
We have constructed this page due to public demand, we have been asked a number of times for a Huanyu HYS12450 as fitted in a number of speakers but have never been able to find them. on the version supplied in the speakers, it states it is 4.5ah but we have tested one and it does not appear to be that, more like 3ah. The physical would not allow enough lead to be installed for this so suspect there is a mismatch of information coming from our friends in the Far East. Our battery has been used in a number of test insulations and works just fine, else we would not be offering it.
Important Please Note: This Chinese manufacturer, in their wisdom, has now started to launch the HYS12450 in two carcass sizes. If you look at the pictures, you will see the replacement for them. It does seem to be in the later versions, but it will be confusing for the end user. We have called them Old and New, and they are totally different shapes. I would suggest you look at the picture and compare the shape to yours before ordering.
So, if you have a Huanyu HYS12450 battery, which probably comes out of a speaker, measure its size and compare it to the physical sizes listed below. Then, when you are happy, order.
Sealed lead batteries should be kept charged, if they are not being used then put away with a full charge and recharge every six weeks to slow down the effect of natural discharge that all rechargeable batteries experience.
Battery type = VRLA, AGM, sealed lead acid, Non-spillable, not-hazardous.
Voltage = 12v
Capacity is 3.2Ah @20-hr (to replace the supposedly 4.5ah battery)
The approximate size of this replacement "Old" Huanyu HYS12450 battery is as follows:
Length = 134mm
Width = 67mm
Height = 61mm
0.187" 4.75mm fast-on terminals, flat push-on terminals.
If this is not right, then you have the "new" shape, which is
Length = 90mm or 3.54-inches
Width = 70mm 2.75-inches
Height = 101mm or 3.97-inches
Either can be chosen from the version under the available options above.
