When you receive your order of batteries from us they will have a fairly high charge in them, but you still need to fully charge them before first use, this will not be necessary only if being fitted in something that is always connected to the mains like an alarm system which will do the job for you, you do not need to leave it on for hours on end, it will probably not take very long at all depending on the charger, just until the charger has indicated that it has finished, this first step is important so do not ignore it, unless as otherwise stated above, do not use without this initial charge, doing so can shorten expected life span
