When you receive your order from us the batteries will be almost fully charged but even so you will still need to complete a charge before first use, this will not be necessary only if being fitted in something that is always connected to the mains like an alarm system which will do the job for you, the period of this initial charge before use need only be until the charger states they are ready, probably not very long at all, do not just install and use without this initial charge, unless as stated above, doing so can shorten expected life span, it's well worth doing
While is not something that most will even notice but it will take a number of charges and corresponding use in the device before a full capacity charge is reached, this is a normal part of the conditioning process, if being used in a portable device make sure that you charge your new batteries after each and every use, they are capable of many charges but this will reduce if you let run them down in-between, do not try to fully discharge the batteries, it will not rejuvenate them, it will reduce the lifespan and cost you money in the long run, if for any reason you are not using them for long periods then you should recharge every 4 to 6-weeks but do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours at a time
