This is a compatible sealed lead acid battery, it is valve regulated and will not spill even if mounted on its side, used in many things like children's ride on toy motorcycles, powerful torch's or household alarm systems, it is not-hazardous so safe for use indoors
If you are using this battery in a item with its own built in power supply from the mains like a alarm system then this will look after the battery for you, and it will probably last many years as it will normally do a good job of this. If its going in something that requires manual charging then charge fully when it arrives and first use, will not take long as it comes out to you almost fully charged, do so after every use, leaving them semi charged will only reduce life span, if not being used then again every 8-weeks but do not leave on the charger any longer than required to get a full capacity charge.
