Rechargeable Diamec DM6-4.2, replacement sealed lead acid batteries, this 6v valve regulated non-spillable battery can be used in portable devices, supplied direct from warehouse at low cost.
The Diamec DM6-4.2 replacement compatible battery is used in many devices. As it is sealed and will not spill it can be mounted on its side with no ill effects and indeed used in portable applications from high power hand held torch to high end essential medical equipment. It is even found in a number of child ride on toys.
If the battery is installed with a constant mains power and built in charger like a alarm system then the device will take care of the charging and you need not be concerned and will last many years as it will do a much better job of charging the battery than you will be able to. If however it is not then you should be vigilant with your charging procedure. Charge fully upon receipt and before first use. Charge after every use. You do not want the battery left standing around partially or fully discharged. If not using for longer periods then give it a top up charge every 8-weeks to regenerate the cells but do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours at a time.
