This is a small sealed lead acid battery pack, sometimes used in portable medical monitoring equipment as well as household and business alarm systems
If being used in a device that requires manual charging, then the length of the battery life is directly related to the way you look after it, charge when the order arrives and first use, charge as soon as you can after every use and if not being used every 8-weeks, its when the cells are devoid of energy that they can start to degrade, if you can keep the energy in them they will last longer, so as stated, look after them and they will last longer saving you money and time in the long run.
You probably will not notice but if you are using in a piece of equipment that requires outside intervention for charging that it will take up to ten charges and associated use in your device before the batteries are capable of taking a few capacity charge, this is normal, each time you have used your battery in a more portable device then you should put it back on charge as soon as you can, it is not wise to leave it sitting in a semi discharged state for any longer than necessary, do not try to attempt to fully discharge the batteries, it will not rejuvenate them, in fact the opposite, it will reduce the lifespan and cost you money in the long run, if there are extended periods where you are not using the batteries you should remember to recharge every four weeks and never put them away discharged, even partially, do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours at a time
These batteries are deep cycle capable, which is essential in this type of application, the VRLA and AGM cells will not leak as the acid is contained within a glass matting so there is no liquid and valve regulated so any expansion of gas under pressure can escape safely, not-hazardous so suitable for travelling, there is no maintenance required, except of course charging which we have covered on this page.
