After placing your order and upon receipt of your new battery pack you may will note that they have a good charge in them, but regardless of this you will still need to charge them fully before using for the first time, unless it's going in something like a UPS or alarm system with its own built in always connected charging circuit, just charge them until your charger LED lights indicate that they are ready, it will probably not take very long, you may well be impatient enough just to fit and use the equipment without charging but it's well worth waiting until its fully charged and will help extend overall life expectancy
