Even though the batteries you receive from us will be almost fully charged you should still need to complete a full charge before first use, this would not be the case if it's going in something with its own power supply, for example an alarm system as this will do the job for you, the period of this initial charge before use need only be until the charger states they are ready, it probably will not take long, you may well be impatient enough just to fit and use the equipment without charging but it's well worth waiting until its fully charged and will help extend overall life expectancy
You probably will not notice but it will take up to ten charges and associated use in your device before the batteries are capable of taking a few capacity charge, this is normal, each time you have used your new battery then you should put it back on charge as soon as you can, do not leave it sitting in a semi discharged state for any longer than necessary, discharging the batteries fully will only reduce their life expectancy, it will do them no good and will cost you money in the long run, these batteries need to be kept charged, so if there is any reason where they are not be used then ensure they are charged beforehand and then every 4-weeks, but do not leave on a charger for more than 24-hours
These 6-volt batteries are AGM ( absorbed glass mat ) and VRLA ( valve regulated lead acid ) they are deep cycle and not-hazardous so suitable for use indoors, they will not leak all features that make them useful for use in this kind of application, they of course do not require any maintenance
