If you are using this battery in something like an alarm system or computer backup UPS system then the charging of the battery will be taken care of by the onboard charger. if it is going in a more portable device then this will be up to you, charge fully before first use. charge after every use and if not being used charge every 8-weeks but do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours. it may take up to ten cycles of charge before your new battery power source will reach full capacity, this is quite normal. try not to allow the battery to become discharged too far, it is better to charge often than to allow it to remain discharged which will shorten the battery life.
