The batteries you receive from us will be almost fully charged. but you will still have to charge them before first use, an over rider to this would be if it's going into something with its own built in always connected power supply which will complete the job for you. do not need to leave it on for hours on end, it will probably not take very long at all depending on the charger, just until the charger has indicated that it has finished. you might just want to fit them and use, but that would be unwise, missing out on charging them first could shorten overall life expectancy.
It's not something that most will notice but it will take a few charges and use in the equipment before a full capacity charge is reached. it's part of the normal conditioning process, make sure that you charge your new batteries after each and every use. they are capable of many charges but this will reduce if you let run them down in-between. going out of your way to fully discharge the batteries will reduce their life span, so do not do it. these batteries need to be kept charged, so if there is any reason where they are not be used then ensure they are charged beforehand and then every four weeks, but do not leave on a charger for more than 24-hours.
