This valve-regulated lead acid battery pack is also AGM. It will not leak even if mounted on its side and is not hazardous. It is often found in hoists and patient lifts where two are combined to make 24v and many other uses.
Remember to charge your new rechargeable Denka DK1229, DK2.9-12 12v 2.9Ah sealed lead acid battery before first use. If going in a device with mains fed power, there is no need to be concerned about the charging as it will be taken care of. If being used in a portable application, then it is always better to recharge after every use, do not try to deliberately discharge the battery too low as this will only shorten its life span of it.
