If however it is going in something that require you to intervene to use a charger, like a portable device then we would suggest charging in full before first use, this should not take long as it will be almost fully charged upon receipt, then where you can charge after every use, do not try to deliberately discharge it as this will shorten expected life span, its far better to maintain a positive charge, that does not mean leaving it on charger 24/7 either.
