The F800GS is a 798cc eight valve parallel twin with a six speed gearbox, this enduro is though quite slim and light, especially compared to its larger brother and much easier to handle with an impressive steering lock and good suspension, its much more like a large single than a twin. This BMW has proved to be reliable with good engineering, good on and off the road with a nimble perky speed and low down grunt can come with many options including excellent luggage systems for around the town, even things like heated handle grips.
The battery is a AGM type, this means it requires no maintenance, except of course charging and will not leak, if you use the bike all year round then you will have no problem, and it certainly is a multi season machine. If though the bike stays in a warm garage during the winter and gets no use then we would suggest removing the battery and charging every 6-weeks so its still in good order the following spring.
It will be supplied to you dry charged, that means it will be a fresh as the day it left the factory, you will have to activate it before fitting and activation kit is supplied. you should of course check its the right battery for you before ordering, the physical dimessions are below. Once fitted take the bike for good run to instigate its first charge, or put on a charger if that is inconvenient.
