Motorcycle batteries can give many years of good use if catered for correctly. They need no maintenance but do need to be kept charged. This is fine if you use your bike every day all year round. If you do not, there will always be a slow natural drain. The best advice would be to take it off for the off-season, charge it every six weeks and store it in a frost-free place.
