The FZ1 Fazer has a 998cc 20 valve four cylinder lump with a 6-speed transmission box, its classed as sports motorbike but more than capable as a tourer and around town machine with a bit of fashionable panache too. It would be very hard to pick any holes in such class act, could perhaps do with a bigger tank and perhaps a bit more ground clearance but overall one hell of a bike.

The battery is a AGM sealed lead acid battery, you should of course check that's what you have now, it will say something like YTZ14s on the side, it will come out to you almost fully charged, you should really charge before first use, either way make sure you take it for a run after fitting as the first charge is always important.

If you are not using the bike all the year round then charge the battery every 6-weeks to maintain healthy cells, maybe more often if alarm in use.
