Replacement batteries for the Powerstart PS1224HD (formally Mega Boost MB1224HD) and the Powerstart PS24HD. These battery boosters are top of the range power packs used for starting heavy machinery and vehicles like Double-decker buses,12,000cc tractor units and DMU trains. The PS1224HD is able to switch between 12 and 24-volts whereas the PS24HD is a dedicated high power 24-volt jump starter pack. Both battery packs require two 12-volt 26 ampere batteries.

Installation of your new batteries should be quite simple and will only require common sense and some basic tools, you should always take care when doing so and refer to your manual. Firstly you will need to open the jump starter pack by unscrewing the screws, once open you will see two batteries inside, disconnect these batteries and slide the new batteries into place making sure the wires were the same as before. Replace the cover and you should be finished.

To prolong your batteries life you should take good care of it, you can do this by charging your battery fully before its first use and always place it on charge after using it but never for more than 24-hours. Also if you are not going to use it for a period of about four weeks you should top up the charge to keep it at peak condition.

Your old battery will be recyclable and so is your new one, this means that they can be broken down and made into new things, possibly even another battery!
