Your new battery needs to be properly maintained to be used continuously. Install and charge it when it first comes. Never keep the battery in a discharged state for an extended period of time after each usage; instead, promptly recharge it. Charge the battery once every six weeks to maintain the cells alive even when not in use. Please don't keep it charging longer than is necessary to acquire a full charge. Never charge more than twenty-four hours.
