Charging advice for this type of battery would be similar to what you would receive for other transport batteries. If this machine is going to be in use often, at least a couple of times a month, then the alternator/generator within the machine should mostly take care of the charging. You will need to step in when a month passes by without any use by either running the device or using a suitable twelve-volt charger to stop the natural self-discharge of the batteries affecting them.

It will take at least ten reasonable uses in the Wacker Neuson DPU4045 or DPU4545 device before the battery is capable of accepting a full capacity charge; this is quite normal and part of the conditioning process that all rechargeable batteries go through.
