As with all rechargeable batteries, you should charge them when they arrive, which in an ideal world would be twenty-four hours before use. You should always charge them after every use. If they are not used for long periods, recharge them every six weeks, never put them away, and discharge and charge them thoroughly before using them again.
Gel batteries always take a little longer to condition; it will take up to fifteen uses in the device and associated charge before it will hold a total capacity of one.
