Hyundai's HY4500SEi portable inverter generator is small but powerful. The HY4500SEI is equipped with the most recent Hyundai digital inverter technology, which is designed to handle the extreme inductive loads encountered when using power tools and electric motors with high start-up currents. Even though it will be delivered with at least an 80% charge, make sure your battery is fully charged before using it for the first time. Although the manual suggests charging it every few uses, leaving a battery discharged will destroy it; if possible, charge until full after each use. Remove the battery when you know it won't be used for a while, charge until full, and charge every five weeks to keep the cells fresh.

To replace the battery, first, you need to remove the screw holding the battery maintenance cover in place. Remove this cover and unhook the battery belt. Remove the black cable from the battery, and then the red one. Take out the battery, replace it with this new one and connect the wires back up. Hook the battery belt and screw the cover back in place.
