This is a complete compatible replacement for the APC Symmetra PX SYBT9-B4 battery module: 32 individual 12V 9Ah sealed lead-acid batteries which can be replaced within your four trays of eight.

Sealed lead-acid batteries like these don't need topping up or any hands-on maintenance, but they do best when they're not left sitting around discharged. Once the new module is fitted, let the Symmetra PX's own charging system bring it up to full charge and keep the UPS on mains power whenever possible, since sealed cells lose capacity fastest when stored in a partial or flat state. If a spare module is being kept on the shelf rather than installed, give it a maintenance charge roughly once a month so it stays in good condition until it's needed.

None of the 32 batteries in the old module need to be thrown away once they're replaced. Please take them to your local recycling centre or have them arranged to be collected.
