The batteries that we dispatch to you will be almost fully charged. Your UPS will complete a full charge, and this helps it reset to the new battery cell. With this in mind, the system won't provide full runtime protection for a short period while it charges. It's better to allow the system to run without load to start. In contrast, it completes the first charge to reset the new battery energy level.
A reasonable battery lifespan is 2 to 5 years; however, this varies somewhat depending on the item's general position and overall use. The batteries will get hot during normal use; that's normal. As a result, the hotter they get, the shorter the life, so good ventilation is paramount. If you add more devices over time, keep an eye on the load; if you can keep it below 40%, it will last longer. It can go higher, but at the expense of battery life.
