When you place your order and receive the Topin TP12-2.2 replacement batteries, you will note that they will be almost fully charged, but you should still complete a charge before first use. However, if it's for something that's always connected to the mains, like a monitor or maybe a home or commercial alarm system, then you do not need to charge it first, as the system will do that for you. The charger will have LED lights. You only need to charge them until they are ready, probably not very long at all. It would be unwise, unless, as stated above, missing out on charging them first could shorten overall life expectancy.
While most will not even notice, it will take a number of charges and corresponding use in the device before a full-capacity charge is reached. This is a normal part of the conditioning process. If used in a portable device, ensure that you recharge the Topin TP12-2.2 batteries after every use.
