The CareCo Vega-RS8 is an 8mph mobility scooter that comes standard with a range of features, including electro-mechanical brakes, rear-view mirrors, and a front LED light. Combined with the 700W motor, high ground clearance, and essential safety features, it gives the user a comfortable ride, whether it’s a short trip in town or a longer journey.
The batteries on offer here are a pair of 12v batteries that combine to give 24v power needed for the scooter. They are non-hazardous, non-spillable, valve-regulated, sealed lead-acid AGM 50Ah batteries, recommended for installation.
Taking care of batteries is easy if you follow a few simple rules: first, charge your new batteries fully before first use, although they will be more or less fully charged upon dispatch. Second, the most damage happens when batteries are allowed to go flat and stay that way; charge them after every use to keep them healthy. Lastly, if the batteries will be out of use for a couple of months, a top-up charge will prolong their life.
