The batteries that you obtain from us will be almost fully charged, but you should still charge them fully before first use. This will not be necessary if it's fitted into something that is always connected to the mains, like an alarm system, which will charge it for you. Charge them until the charger LED lights indicate they are ready; it probably won't take long. You might want to fit them and use them right away, but that would be unwise, as stated above; skipping the initial charge could shorten overall life expectancy.
Most users will not even notice, but it will take a number of charges and associated use before they can accept a full-capacity charge; this is normal and part of the conditioning process. If you use them in a portable device, make sure you charge your new batteries after each use. They can handle many charges, but this will decrease if you let them run down in between. You cannot rejuvenate this kind of battery by running it down. Fully discharging the batteries will reduce their lifespan, so do not do it. To keep the batteries in good condition, keep them charged; if they are not being used for a period of time, charge them beforehand and top them up every four weeks, but do not leave them on a charger for more than 24 hours.
