The new batteries that you receive from us will be almost fully charged, but the system will still need to complete a service charge upon installation. During this interim period, your system will not be able to provide full runtime protection until it has finished this task. It's being used urgently, but it's best to run it without a load at first so it can reset itself.

You can reasonably expect two to five years from the new batteries in this UPS. This depends on how you use it. Make sure it has good ventilation; batteries get hot during normal use. The hotter they are, the shorter the lifespan. Do not pile books on top of it. To get long battery life, try to keep the load below 40%; it can handle much more, but the payoff is battery life.

These batteries are very resilient and can be mounted on the side without issues or leaks, so that they can be used in tower- or rack-mountable situations. They are the recommended VRLA type and benefit from AGM technology, making them safe for use in critical environments.
