Replacement APC Smart-UPS 3000XL SU3000RMXL3U battery pack, sealed, safe, valve-regulated uninterruptible power supply batteries at a low cost.
This pack contains eight batteries for the APC Smart-UPS 3000XL rack-mountable UPS with a rack height of 3U (approximately 134 mm). It will have the serial code SU3000RMXL3U written either on the reverse or sometimes underneath. They are for the cartridge module for this 3000VA uninterruptible power supply.

The batteries are valve-regulated and safe for use in either tower- or rack-mounted systems, as they will not spill in this rack-mountable system with a height of 3U. The expected lifespan in such an installation is 3-5 years under normal conditions; however, it can be greatly reduced without adequate ventilation, so ensure your communications room is well vented.
Ideally, your UPS should be in a dust-free, humidity- and climate-controlled communications room if you have one. In the real world, there are still a lot you can do to help prolong your batteries' life: watch the load and don't let it run high. Many devices, when upgraded, have larger, more demanding power supplies to service; spread the load as best you can. Heat is the biggest issue. Please pay attention to the vents and clear the dust regularly; it restricts airflow and builds on the fan surfaces, reducing efficiency.
These batteries are non-hazardous, will not spill, and can be mounted in rack-mount or tower configurations without fear of spillage; they are sealed lead-acid (VRLA), AGM (absorbed glass mat), and recyclable. Please ensure that when these batteries have fulfilled their task, they are directed to a recycling centre for processing into another product; more information is available at the foot of this page.
