Leoch LP12-9.0 12V AGM battery replacement.
Compatible replacement Leoch LP12-9.0 12V AGM battery for generators and power packs with upright nut-and-bolt terminals.
This battery has upright flag terminals with a nut and bolt to pass through them; we have mainly seen them on generators and power packs where they are used to start small engines. They are AGM and sealed, meaning they can be mounted on the side, which they often are in some generators.
These batteries, equipped with a nut-and-bolt fitting, are not commonly available, so it's more than worth looking after them. Ensure they are fully charged upon arrival and for initial use, since they'll arrive nearly fully charged. If the battery is going on a generator, it will be assumed that this will recharge it in use, but if it's not being used every few days, then also recharge every six weeks to keep the cells in good order. If it's being fitted to something that does not have a built-in charging circuit, then recharge as soon as you can after every use, and as stated, every six weeks
Please note that the Leoch LP12-9.0 is also available with push-on terminals. This page has the upright flag posts that take a nut and bolt, normally used for engine starting. Look at the picture above. If you want a different terminal, there will be a link to the correct one in the alternatives tab.
Typically, this Leoch LP12-9.0 battery will take about 10 uses and associated charges before reaching full capacity; this is quite normal, and you may not even notice it.
Although the battery is maintenance-free, it should not be neglected. Following the charging tips in your manual will help avoid premature battery failure. Recharge after every use, especially when installed in a power pack.
