These are non-spillable, safe, non-hazardous batteries recommended for such an installation, where they are normally mounted on their sides inside a rack system, but, of course, they can be used as a tower as well. Life expectancy in such an application would be between 3 and 5 years; this can be drastically reduced if the communications room they sit in lacks adequate ventilation.
