The Locomotor Escort 160 provides an especially high lift, making it ideal for lifting patients off high beds and pressure relieving mattresses. The hoist has a safe working load of 160kg, though it has been tested up to 220kg. The hoist lacks the bells and whistles many other hoists have, which allows it to excel at its core purpose.

Replacing your batteries is a simple task; in most cases, you only need a screwdriver and 20 minutes of your time. Replace one battery at a time to avoid confusing the wiring. We recommend taking a photo of the wiring before replacing the batteries.
Ensure that your hoist is ready to use by charging the battery regularly. Charge after every use until full, and when not in use, charge at least once a month. This will help prolong the life of your new battery as much as possible. Damage occurs when a battery is left discharged, so don’t leave it uncharged for long. Once the charger indicates the battery is fully charged, remove the charger.
Your new battery will come fully charged. However, as with sealed lead-acid batteries, they require around 10 charging cycles to reach full capacity. Take your old battery to your local recycling centre, where it can be properly recycled for its different materials.
