Please note that while this is running, the system won't be able to offer the full runtime backup time until it's finished. We know it may not always be convenient, especially in a fast-paced world. It's best to run the system without any added load while the first charge completes.

A 2- to 5-year lifespan for UPS batteries is reasonable; this is not a set rule. However, lifespan will vary depending on usage. Supplying adequate ventilation is important. If the batteries are being continuously used 24/7 the hotter they are allowed to get the shorter the life expectancy, keeping the overall load low will also help prolong the life span, in a ideal world keep it below 40%. Many systems run at the maximum of their capabilities; it will only hurt battery life.

The batteries are valve regulated sealed lead acid or VRLA for short with AGM technology, no need for any maintenance, except of course charging, and can be mounted on their side in a UPS with fear of leakage, they are not-hazardous so safe for use in hospitals, busy data centres as well as the home office.
