After you unpack your new battery order from us, you'll notice it has a good charge. Regardless, you still need to fully charge them before first use. Charge them until your charger LED lights indicate they are ready. It probably won't take long. Do not just fit them and roll without this initial charge; it will help extend overall battery life.
You probably will not notice, but it may take up to ten charges and associated use before the batteries can take a full charge; this is normal. Leaving your new batteries uncharged is not a good idea. As soon as you finish using them, recharge them. Never try to discharge the batteries; with this type of technology, it will only shorten their life. If you aren't using them for long periods, recharge them every four weeks, but don't leave them on the charger for more than 24 hours at a time.
These 12-volt batteries are valve-regulated AGM (absorbed glass mat), so they don't need any liquid, as the acid is held within the glass mat; this means they will not spill and are non-hazardous. So they're safe for use around the home and/or travelling. They're also safe for use on aeroplanes, but confirm this with your airline when you book your flight; they are deep cycle, which is required for this sort of application.
Please confirm the code on your mobility equipment carefully; many are very similar, so you order the right battery set. If in doubt, check your old batteries, measure the dimensions, and note anything written on the side. We have also included the battery's physical dimensions to be certain.
