The batteries we send will be almost fully charged, but the system will still need to complete a service charge after installation. During this interim period, your system will not be able to provide full runtime protection until it finishes this task. It's best to let the system run without load to reset the new battery energy level.
You could reasonably expect this battery to last between two to five years in this kind of device. This will depend heavily on use and how the system is stored. Batteries get hot during normal use; the hotter they get, the shorter their life, so good ventilation is paramount. Keeping the load low will also help extend the lifespan. In an ideal world, keep it below 40%; they are often run to the edge of their capabilities, and while they may be able to handle more, it will be at the expense of lifespan.
These batteries are sealed lead valve regulated, or VRLA, and benefit from AGM technology. This means they will not spill so that they can be mounted on the side in a UPS without fear of leakage; they can be used in rack or tower modules; and they're non-hazardous, making them safe for mission-critical environments, including busy data centres or hospitals.
