Installing the batteries is not difficult. Refer to your manual for the full procedure. Once they're in the system, it will fully charge them. Even though they will arrive almost fully charged, they will still need to complete this task. you should of course be aware that while this is happening the system will not be able to offer the full backup runtime period until its finished, our best advice would be to start the system without any load until fully charged if you have the opportunity. This helps reset it to a proper energy level.
You can expect these batteries to last between two and five years in this UPS. This will depend heavily on use and how the system is stored. Make sure it has good ventilation; batteries get hot during normal use. The hotter they are, the shorter the lifespan. Do not pile books on top of it. To get long battery life, try to keep the load below 40%; it can handle much more, but the payoff is battery life.
