When the battery arrives the first thing you should do is give it a top up charge, it should have a substantial charge anyway but this is recommended with any rechargeable battery. Ideally it should go into your machine and used within a couple of weeks of delivery. If this is not the case or it’s the off season then a charge every five weeks will keep it in top condition.
