After you have unpacked your new battery order from us, you will note that it has a good charge. Regardless, you should still complete a full charge before first use. This will not be necessary if it is fitted into something that is always connected to the mains, like an alarm system, which will do the job for you. It shouldn't take long, just until the charger light indicates it's ready. if really in doubt overnight will be more than enough but it's doubtful you would need to leave it on the charger that long, while you may well be tempted just to fit them and go without charging if it's going in a portable device its worth completing the charge first.
It will probably not even be apparent, but it will take a few charges and associated use on your device before the battery can receive a full-capacity charge. this is quite normal, after you have used your more portable equipment you should get a charge back into it as soon as you are able, do not leave it sitting around in a partially discharged state for any longer than absolutely necessary.
