Sherborne offers a Multi-use Battery Backup system as an optional accessory for some of their electric recliners and riser recliners. This rechargeable battery pack ensures that your recliner remains operational for approximately 10 to 15 complete cycles in the event of a power failure.
Replacing the battery yourself is a simple job, requiring only basic knowledge, a pair of hands, and a screwdriver. The batteries are stored in a black box attached to the frame of the chair; a wire comes from this box and connects to the rest of the power system. Use the screwdriver to open the box and remove the screws; inside, you will find two separate batteries. Swap these with the new batteries offered on this page, put the cover back on and screws in, and that’s it!

While Sherborne recliners come standard with a single-use emergency backup, the Multi-use Battery backup provides extended functionality, allowing multiple operations without immediate recharging. However, as with any rechargeable battery, please charge it as soon as possible to keep the battery in good condition.
