We will dispatch batteries to you that are almost fully charged, your UPS will still need to finish off the charge which helps it reset to the battery cell itself, it does mean of course that during this interim period the full runtime protection will not be available to you until its finished, best advice would be to allow the system to run without load to start to allow the new battery energy level to reset.
You could reasonably expect this of battery to last between two to five years in this kind of device, this will however differ quite a lot depending on the use, ensure the system is not buried under piles of paper work as they often are in a office, the batteries get hot, the hotter they are the shorter their lifespan, If you can keep the load below 40% the batteries will last longer, a high load will be at the expense of the overall life span of the cells.
These are valve regulated sealed lead acid batteries and will not leak so there is no problem installing in tower or rack systems as they can be fitted on their side, both AGM and VRLA, they are not-hazardous so safe for busy data centres as well of course as the home office.
