Dismantling and folding the chair is very simple and can be done without any tools and on the go. Once taken apart it will fit into most commercial cars for easy transportation. Additional features that makes this Powerchair stand out is the kerb climber attachment, Castor locks and the oxygen bottle holder that fits most common bottle sizes. It is perfect for both indoors and outdoors, simple to set up and to drive this power chair meets many different clients needs and is a wise choice when buying a new wheelchair.
A range of different Ampere batteries fit the Invacare Fox, when you purchased the mobility scooter it would have come with one or more battery boxes. The standard fit are a pair of 12v 34Ah but we also offer an upgraded version that is 50Ah which will give you a much larger range, this will depend on what configuration you got when you first ordered your chair, perfect for this independent wheelchair. The link for these will be further down the page, you should check before ordering. The difference between these two batteries apart from the obvious more power is the physical size. If you are unsure which size your Invacare Fox power chair will hold it is best to measure the old batteries and compare them with the dimensions on this page. The dimensions for the larger 50-ampere batteries will be on its page, the link is further down the page.

To Install your batteries, you must first move the seat into the service position, you do this first of all making sure the scooter is turned off! Secure the parking brake down and remove the leg rests, pull the safety latch on the centre column to unlock the seat. After that you must fold the seat back wards so that the rear safety latch locks on to the rear post, the seat is now in the service position. To remove your battery box (where the batteries would slide into) you will need a 5mm Allen key and a 10mm open ended spanner. It is highly recommend that you follow your manual step by step carefully as you will need to remove different nuts and screws as well as wires that connect onto the battery which you will need to connect to the new one. Another piece of advice would be to take pictures of each step as you will need to reverse it to put the scooter back together again.
Your batteries should arrive almost fully charged but looking after the batteries is very important. Before your first use you should fully charge the batteries, overnight if you must. Putting the batteries on charge after every use is very good practice and will keep them at peak condition for the longest. If a period of eight weeks pass and the batteries haven't been used it is highly recommend that you fully charge them. Never leave the batteries on charge for more than 24-hours as this can do serious damage to them. Read the information sheet that comes with your delivery for more information.
