After you have unpacked your new battery order from us you will note that they will have a good charge in them, but you still need to complete a full charge before first use. There should be no need for many hours, just until your charger indicates they are ready, this will of course depend on the charger capabilities. You may well be impatient enough just to fit and use the equipment without charging but it's well worth waiting until its fully charged and will help extend overall life expectancy.
While is not something that most will even notice but it will take a number of charges and corresponding use in the device before a full capacity charge is reached, this is a normal part of the conditioning process. Ensure that after every use that you put the batteries back on charge, letting them sit in a partially discharged state is not wise. These are 12-volt valve regulated sealed lead acid batteries and will not leak they are both AGM and VRLA. Of course they are the required deep cycle kind and they are not-hazardous so safe for on the road and indoors as well as travelling by aeroplane, but of course you should confirm this with your airline at point of booking your flight.
