This is a very tough and hardy type of battery, they are valve regulated lead acid and absorbed glass mat construction, this means they can used in portable devices as they will not spill, not-hazardous so can safely be used around the home or indoors. They are also recyclable they have a very high lead content which are perfect for this purpose making them a extremely green and ECO friendly energy storage product.
You do however need to keep them charged, we would recommend that you charge fully before first use and charge after each use, its better to do that than allow them to sit in a discharged state, those batteries that are never allowed to discharge below 50 % will last much longer than those where that was not the case. Further if not being used charge every 8-weeks.
