With its compact carriage, this impressive stair lift really doesn't need much space. It can also be folded against a wall out of the way, which is very useful for anyone using the stairs below. To do this, simply put the seat and arms into place on your stair lift, then releasing the footrest by lifting the lever on the side of the seat. It also has a footrest lever function at the top of the steps, which is crucial for your safety when leaning over.
With its joystick control, the Stannah Sarum 260 makes gliding up and down the stairs a breeze. Because of its auto-recharging battery, the stair lift is always available to use, even during a power outage. Once at the top of the stairs, simply depress the lever to allow your seat to turn around for easy and safe exit. Additionally, when at the other end of the stair lift, a remote control enables you to call the chair to you.
The batteries required for the Stannah Sarum 260 stair lift are two 12v 7ah AGM sealed lead acid batteries. The batteries can also be upgraded to two 12v 12ah batteries, which are recommended with heavy usage. This can be selected near the top of the page. Please ensure the batteries ordered are correct for your stair lift with the right dimensions before ordering as the 7ah and 12ah have different physical dimensions, both of which are listed below.
Because the batteries for this stair lift are recyclable, please dispose of them properly at your local recycling centre when they have reached the end of their useful life. More information is available at the bottom of this page.
