It will take a few uses and recharges before the battery can accept a full-capacity charge; this is normal.

This YTX18L-BS NTX18L-BS battery requires no maintenance, its sealed AGM, it does however need to be charged, if there are long periods when its not being used, perhaps the winter, our best advice would be to remove if from the bike and charge it every six weeks, we do not overly like the use of intelligent always connected chargers but that is better than leaving them abandoned all winter.
