You may be able to get away with it, but please charge your new battery when it arrives and at first use. After you use it to start your motorcycle, take it for a good ride; this will put the energy back into the cells. It will take a few uses before it's conditioned enough to accept a full-capacity charge; this is quite normal.

This battery requires no maintenance, its sealed AGM, it does however need to be charged, if there are long periods when its not being used, then our best advice would be to remove if from the device and recharge every four weeks, this stops things like alarms or other energy hungry sources from draining the battery and should ensure a healthy one the next spring.
