Of a lot of the Harley line up this model if probably more likely to be used all year round which is ideal conditions for the battery, it will just keep on going and you will achieve a long life from it. If however it is going to spend a season off the road then some care should be taken, our best advice would be to disconnect from frame and recharge every six weeks until its in regular use again, but remove from charger once charged. In the same vein there are many people that advocate the use of optimisers, we are not one of them, experience has told us though while a great idea, in practice the number of overcharged and therefore useless batteries than come of there use every year is extensive, probably better than nothing at all but its a risk that might not be worth taking, just charge and unhook when full.
